CD Track 20 – On A Sea Of Hope on Sunrise Celebration (FREE CD)

Niall Quinn is a 23 year old singer-song-writer. He plays lyrically charged and fiercely affecting acoustic material all over his fair home of England. He was born, and still lives in Lewisham, South East London. Last year he hit the road, performing a series of solo shows with just his guitar and piano. He is a regular performer at London's Barfly, 12 Bar Club, The Rock Garden and The Half Moon, knowing his way around several instruments (guitar, piano, bass guitar, drums) and a heart-wrenching song or two. A prolific songwriter, he has already recorded more than a hundred songs which he distributes among friends, family and fans. Live favourites include Looking After Me and Out Of The Blue. His influences include Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen and Gram Parsons.

The CD track, On A Sea Of Hope, is an uplifting, and often heartbreaking tale of determination in the face of adversity. It tells the tale of Niall's ancestors and of the potato famine that forced many of them to the United States for work and food – and of the Civil War that many were forced to fight: a war that wasn't even theirs.
